Compression Tub Faucet Parts This type has two separate handles to regulate the flow and temperature of the water. It works on the principle of rubber washers that are compressed, and either cut off the flow of water or increase it. Disc Tub Faucet Parts This type of faucet has one handle with two ceramic discs inside the tube assembly. When the handle is lifted, the discs move across each other, allowing holes to line up to regulate water flow. If there is a problem, it is usually because one of these discs is leaking. Cartridge Tub Faucet Parts This type has a movable plastic cartridge that moves up and down the handle to line up holes to regulate the water. These can be either single or double handled, and they are easily fixed because you just have to drop in a new cartridge.
