Bathroom Light Fixtures Types and Placement Tips you need to know. It would help us see ourselves in the mirror better and stay well groomed.

Bathroom Light Placement

Light fixture placement is an essential part of a bathroom design and should ideally be such that it would light your face completely and not create any shadows. Ideally, the fixtures should be placed at the forehead height in order to minimize any shadows on the face. Also, the fixtures should be at least 2 ½ feet apart from each other. The other light fixtures can be used in the ceiling if you have a larger bathroom.

The Right Light

Do not use any fluorescent lights in the bathroom since they make you look pale and green. Use lights which are close to the natural light. Ensure that the light that you use is bright and clear and that it does not change the color of anything in the bathroom. Your bathroom design should include light fixtures which are also easy to clean and maintain. You can look at the lights during daytime in order to know if they are appropriate. Choose light fixtures which come with a guarantee period so that you do not have to replace it often.

How Many Fixtures to Use?

Your bathroom designs should include enough light fixtures so that the entire bathroom is well lit. The fixtures should not be directed at the mirror but at the person. You can use two fixtures in opposite directions so that the entire space is well lit. You can even use fixtures on the wall, two feet above the sink. Do not use any reflectors to avoid glares and shadows. One bathroom light can also be fixed inside the cabinets so that you can see the contents clearly. You can use another light inside bath enclosures or over the bathtub. The right lighting effect can be achieved with the help of the right fixture.

The Different Types of Light Fixtures

There are several different types of light fixtures available especially for the bathroom. You can use a combination of different types and incorporate them in your bathroom designs. Some of the fixtures include the bar lights which are small trochees which are mounted on the metal bars made in different designs and shapes. These can be fixed to the counters or walls and can be used for up or down lighting. You can also use different shades of lighting above the double sinks in order to create a dramatic effective.

Unique Touches

For a different type of look you could use lampshades which are made from frosted or translucent glass and with metal frames which have an antique finish. You can even use one which has polished brass or chrome. You can also choose vanity bulbs which have been placed inside glass enclosures which give a diffused light effect. The wall scones can be used for the closets but are not really used close to the sinks.
