Chile is the world’s biggest copper miner, and although officials have promised to honour its export commitments, supply worries remain.

Production at four major mines was suspended – affecting around 20% of the country’s capacity.

Chile’s mining minister said it could take two days for production to resume.

Risk premium

Aside from the direct impact of the disaster on the mines themselves, there are other factors that could slow the production process, such as transport and power supplies.

Jonathan Barratt, managing director of Commodity Broking Services, said: “People will start to build in a risk premium early on Monday. That will remain for as long as uncertainty exists and things like assessing the impact on fuel supplies and so on will take some time.”

On Friday, the main three-month copper contract closed at $7,195 a tonne.

One Singapore trader was quoted saying the price could rise to $7,400.

Before starting the installation here are few things you need to take care.

Check the supply pipe for leaks.

First you can connect the shower in two ways. You can either choose the conventional method with copper pipes or you can opt for PEX pipes. The plastic pipes are easy to install when compared to the copper pipes.

Now to install the shower head connect the upper outlet to shower head supply pipe after applying Teflon tape. Wrap clockwise the shower head’s pipe filets with Teflon tape. Manually screw shower head using adjustable wrench.
Finally to install the spout turn the spout on copper pipe so that set screw faces up. Tighten the screw with hexagonal key and then turn spout to normal position.
Last but not the least open the hot and cold water supply and check if there is no leak. Next open the faucet to lukewarm position to release all the air caught in the pipes.
